Great channel - could you say something more about your EQ setup?Its only for ambient music?

I think one of the most important parts of layering sounds is making sure the layers are EQ/filtered to keep phase cancelling from the overlaps down to a minimum. A lot of the energy of layers just gets sucked away when the layers start phasing with each other. A simple quick filtering will help restore lost level from phase cancelation and give a more transparent representation of the layers interacting with each other.

layering is great :D even if your synth of choice doesn't do it, 95% chance your DAW does have this capability, though it means multiple instances of a plugin >_> I'd be curious to see how Bitwig handles this specific patch. In my experience it uses waaaay less CPU than Live, but to be fair to Live it's a lot younger code-wise and is less burdened in that way. I love bit crushers, too, and SRR. Arturia's MS-20 filter can do some similar sorts of things with its distortion, too. I love it. Also, can confirm, this dude is always posting presets and desktop wallpapers, videos, etc on Patreon. Considering getting Unity but can't get Behemoth and Unity at the same time, not in my budget. That said, any chance you could do a walkthrough using some of the vast libraries in EastWest? I don't think I've really seen you cover their VSTs but I feel like Forbidden Planet in particular could be perfect.

How are you lowering the octaves? Im already lost :(

I believe UNIFY uses multicores of processing unlike other synths and samplers on the market. At least, I've found it VERY CPU friendly and use it even in genres like trance and EDM. Another strength is that you can put Vital, Phaseplant and other synths right in Unify as layers. Love it, Chris, thanks for the walkthru. Who has more fun than you!? 😉
